haha amazing.

I just got back from a week in new york city and tried out the iphone (you can call people and everything too, which was great)...it's actually much better than I expected it to be. very easy to use and comfortable to hold.

If it wasn't expected to cost $1000CDN when it's released here, I would have totally considered getting it.

a 1000 canadian.. impossible. it'll cost the same as it does in the US.

Btw how was NYC, and what did you bring me ?

i brought you back tales of adventure.

NYC was amazing. I went in january also, but I was only there for 2 days, which just wasn't nearly enough time.

though really I still didn't fit in as much as I had wanted, it was still great. I didnt get a chance to see the guggenheim.

though I did go to the MoMA, which was wonderful and alot of fun... there was a series of Chronophotographs by Eadweard Muybridge which was neat, considering your post a couple weeks back. I also purchased an umbrella by Tibor Kalman which had the inside lined with a cloudy sky.

I walked by Pentagram and saw Paula Scher standing outside on a phone, so I didn't disturb her. There was a sense of glee in me though. I somewhat wish I snuck in to see how things ran inside.

the weather was humid and awful though, the first night rained to an extreme and the subway system was shut down, and most of the shops had buckets on the ground to catch the water dripping.

but, as any trip outside of your own city, it was just great to be out of the familiar...though technicaly NYC is not some sort of exotic country, just wandering new streets and seeing all the interesting people was still a great break from everything here. and there's still so much more to see. especially with the subway being down, we did alot of walking, which made things much better, and getting a chance to see more and walk by interesting sights and such.

also, you'll be pleased to know that just before leaving for NYC, I received a letter telling me I've been given an entrance bursary from Concordia covering my tuition for as long as I study there. So I was quite pleased with that!

also, speaking of Paula Scher earlier...this site is currently posting the moleskin notebooks of art directors and artists alike, including paula scher...an interesting look at the creative process some people go through:
