world's
newest
tallest
building, yawn .......
It has recently been announced
that burj dubai is now officially
the tallest builing in the world
as of july 21, 2007. standing at
512.1 metres (1,680 feet) and 141
storeys,the building is now
taller than 'taipei 101' in taiwan,
which at 508 metres (1,667 ft)
and has held the tallest-building
-in-the-world title since it opened
in 2004. burj dubai will be the
tallest structure in the world in all
four of the criteria listed by the council
on tall buildings and urban habitat
(CTBUH). the council measures height
to the structural top, the highest
occupied floor, to the top of the roof,
and to the tip of the spire, pinnacle,
antenna, mast or flag pole.the final
height and number of storeys, is
speculated at around 800 meters, but
has not yet been confirmed.

wow. the cn tower got shoved into second now, with its height including antenna being 1815 ft...now Canada has nothing left to attract tourists. Well at least we still have Laval.......
like you said reza...canada now has nothing left to attract tourists. even the canadian dollar is high now. people came to canada because it was cheap, now its not. tourism is going down the drain...but at least there's still carrefour Laval...haha
I find Dubai has some nice buildings. Sometimes a little overdone as if they are trying to prove something.
However, one building that is particularily interesting is the Rotating Building which consists of 68 floors, who can rotate 360 degrees independantly.
Canada has more than laval, come on...it has historical buildings that date as far as 1998.
Seriously, that was an inscription on a building in Cote-Des-Neige haha
