Stefan Sagmeister - Graphic design god - talks - at the TED 2004 conference
Analyzing a list of things that have made him happy, graphic designer Stefan Sagmeister realized that almost half of the items were in some way related to design.

he really is absolutely fantastic. he has such a hands-on approach to design and a certain aestetic that is often lost in most modern designs. he's inspired me to challenge design in a more physical manner and step away - as he says - from my computer.
I think your right about stepping away, I grew up in a different design enviroment than you, with a much more tangible, physical toolset.
I think it's very important to be aware of other ways of working and learning how to integrate different approaches and solutions. vive le difference !
Wow. I remember speaking about TED in class and I saw it once also on tv for a moment but I never knew it was this interesting. Did you see the guys from Google speak? I wish I had 6000$ to blow......
