Miss Catherine Lazure

A Canadian designer and illustrator, originally from Montreal, long living and working in Manhattan. Ms. Lazure's works are rather personal, with a seemingly uncomplicated style and an elegant, kinda jazzy, 1950's, sense of colour and pattern. Her illustrations seem relaxed, but this seeming simplicity, is underlined by a graceful sure command of line and colour, acute observation, generous wit and a sly, chuckling sympathy.
