The new algol Television, along with the ts522 clock radio are built with the latest technology for today but were originally design in the 60's by Richard Sapper & Marco Zanuso.

Marco Zanuso - Born in Milan in 1916, died 2001, architect, town planner and designer. Degree in architecture in 1939. In the post war period he was a driving force of cultural debate in the "Modern Movement" and from 1947 to 1949 was a member of the CIAM (Congres Internationaux d'Architecture Moderne) and the INU (Istituto Nazionale di Urbanistica). Co-director of Domus (Design and Architecture monthly magazine) with Ernesto N. Rogers in 1946-47 and editor of the
Casabella (design monthly magazine) in the fifties.
He took part in the foundation of the ADI (Associatione Design Industriale) in 1954 and in the creation of the Compasso d'Oro award in 1956. He was a great Italian Designer

Richard Sapper was born in Munich in 1932 where he studied philosophy, graphics, engineering and economics. From 1956 to 1958 he worked in the Mercedes Benz project department. In 1958 went to Milan and worked for Gio Ponti and later for Rinascente. Together with Marco Zanuso he designed radio and TV sets for Brionvega, the Grillo phone set for Siemens and various pieces of furniture, lamps etc. From 1970 to 1976 he was a consultant for cars and their accessories with Fiat and Pirelli and then worked for IBM all over the world.
